Undoubtedly, sergio is a great fighter, and his fight against paul williams has spring boarded him to great fame and recognition, but is he truly worthy of his #3 p4p ranking? and if so why ? and vice versa, im interested to hear ur views..

. Beat willaims twice in my books and that ko in the second fight will be talked about for 50 years .Koed cintron in my books. Beat up pavilk. Dominated his last fight. Amazing boxing skills. I think he can cause any 168lb fight troubles and beat alot of them. He would beat any 154lb out there
He is underated. |

Underated should be the answer... I honestly wouldnt mind and not throw a tantrum if they had him as the P4P king instead of what most other places have him behind Floyd and Manny...

He flew under the radar for a while but his best wins are against Pavlik (who i remember people deriding as 1 dimensional, especially after Hopkins beat him) and Williams who I think may have actually been a little overrated but he did have a hard time getting big fights. The other problem is the division he's fighting in is fairly weak. |

Definitely overrated by those who think he's already a great Middleweight champion.
Martinez is a pretty good fighter with solid skills, but he is just starting to create his legacy. |

The way he is beating his opponents also should be taken in consideration. People are now saying Williams was overated, but lets be realistic that KO was very impressive a guy in his prime to get drop like that. He gave Pavlik a beating in his weight class and took both of his titles. Say what you want about Pavlik but the guy was doing his thing in his weight class where he belong and had wins over the tough Rubio. He then face undefeated Dzinziruk though at higher weight class and stop him for the first time in his career. The guy is beating guys convincingly with no demands and controversies who are in the top of their divisions or belt holders simple as that...
