I think Brook is a tad too high at 11 in WW, i'd move him down 2 places.
Solis is a little low in the HW aint he? Come on i know he fell over against Vitali but he's got to be rated higher than 11 |

No, you mean the majority of the people who watched the fight(myself included) were of the opinion that he won, but that does not equate to him being ''robbed''. It's perfectly feasible to believe that Sturm won that fight, as quite a few people did.

Stop being obtuse. My point still stands. Macklin won the fight in the eyes of the majority of fans and journalists. That's not the same or even similar to winning three rounds and getting knocked out.

You don't seem to be comprehending the point I'm making. I think Macklin won too, however, much like people who scored it a draw or in Sturm's favour(and those people were in legion[granted, not as large a contingent as those who scored it for Macklin]), I felt it could have easily been scored either way, and - unless there's a terrible scorecard - I won't argue with someone who did in fact score it different to I did. It's awfully short-sighted to claim he was robbed, it was inevitable that they'd give it to Sturm, but that doesn't make the fact he was given the win wrong. Macklin swept the first 4, maybe 5, after that Sturm could definitely be given enough rounds to win, as Macklin fatigued and Sturm's greater accuracy came to prominence. Macklin lost a razor-thin decision to arguably the second best middleweight in the world, and was elevated to the top 5 in the world, Barker took approximitely three rounds off the best middleweight in the world, and rose to the top 10, which he was arguably already in, certainly on the fringes. If Macklin leapfrogs Pirog and the likes after a defeat, then I have no complaints if Barker overtakes Andy Lee. |
