It would be a bit of a wild one. Full of low blows and headbutts.
Holyfield's better and more accurate boxing would result in a 12 or 15 round decision win. Clearly on the cards, but it would be tough for Evander, physically. Bonavena could score a flash knockdown. |

I don't see this as any sort of competitive matchup. Oscar really didn't win too many big fights. He hung tough and lost but that's about it. This would just be another Decision loss for Bonavena & he'd be hard pressed to win 3 rounds.

Jimmy Ellis handled Bonavena easily, knocking him down twice and winning an easy decision. Holyfield, bigger, stronger, and more skilled than Ellis would easily out box Bonavena and probably stop him.

The bigger, quicker Holyfield, with his textbook fundamentals and skills should have a field day versus the smaller, slower, often off balance Bonavena. The combination of Bonavena being off balance and Holyfield's quick, crisp, short punches could result in Bonavena being knocked down often. Holyfield wins by easy decision or TKO.
