Default Andre Wards stitches

I have just read that Ward had his seven stitches removed last Friday (Sept 30). I first read about Ward requiring stitches around the 23rd/24th of Sept. Not sure what day it occured.
Still that seems a very short time for stitches to be in and makes me think that Froch was right when he said it would have been healed in 5 weeks.
I dont know, Im not a doctor but what do you think? It makes me think the cut wasnt that bad

Would you go into your biggest fight with any type of injury, when you could simply postpone the fight a couple weeks, answer that question

Ask Froch that question. He went into the Pascal fight with a cracked rib.
Went into the Kessler fight underprepaired and with an ear infection
Went into his fight with Johnson with ear problems where Froch went into hospital the Thursday before the fight

I hear all that He-man shit, and it sounds good. But what if goes through with the fight and a slight clash of heads opens that cut right back up and the fight is a No-contest. I don't know if you heard but Ward fights tend to have some head clashes in them.

there are pictures of the cut. It is not that deep, but a long gash in a bad spot.

That wasnt really my question. I do agree that if you have a fresh wound then you shouldnt go through with the fight if you think its a risk. But this cut only had the stitches in for about a week, so how bad was it really, is what I was wondering.

Part of me thinks Ward has had it all too easy at home whilst Froch has had to go through with fights as a road warrior, so gets on with it.
Do you think a cut that only needed stitches in for a week would be a problem 5 weeks later? I dont know and was interested to hear from others

Dumb ass Brits thinking people are afraid of that scrub Froch. Froch will get beaten and humiliated. It will be highly enjoyable.

Of course the cut will be healed for the end of October but his training camp would be ruined. You can't stop the sparring at this stage of your preparation. You won't be at your top on fight night.

By the way, Froch postponed his fight against Abraham because of a back injury.

Come on. Froch is propably ONLY good thing what has come out from Britain last few years so dont be so harsh on him.

Most boxing fans things Ward will beat Froch as being superior Boxer.
