Default If Cotto beats Margarito in the rematch, then.....

Will people suspect Margarito more to put something inside his gloves to beat Cotto in their first fight than they have done before?

I doubt it, I think people already believe he had them against Cotto anyway. He has taken two career changing beatings since their first bout.

If it goes down the same path like the first fight i will be more open to him not cheating. But then again i fear he might be too big for Cotto at 154. He might be 170.

Or I can change my question to be " Will more people suspect Margarito to put something inside his gloves to beat Cotto in their first fight?" or "Can we come to the conclusion that Margarito put something inside his gloves to beat Cotto in their first fight?" Any question you like guys.

The problem with this match-up is that Cotto cannot avoid trouble so well, he can't clinch, his head movement is not great, especially when he is under constant fire. If Margarito can take the type of punishment he took in their first bout. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go down the same way again.

It depends. If Cotto beats Margarito in a similar war, taking similar amounts of punches, but his face doesn't come close to resembling the mess it was in the first fight, then yes, that's more ammunition for the people who think he had bricks all along.

But if he beats Margarito and his face looks the same again, then we're still probably where we're at now. It won't do anything to prove Margarito's innocense. Because, as Pacquiao proved, Cotto's face can become disfigured like that without needing to load your gloves.

Margarito probably has his number, bricks or not he still walked him down and took everything he had to throw

If Cotto wins, they'll say its because Margarito didn't have his wraps. If Margarito wins, they'll say its because he softened Cotto up, or that Cotto suffered from psychological damage due to being hit with bricks in the first fight...

...so basically, a lose-lose situation for Margarito. I think Cotto is going to win, but by no means will he thrash AM, or try to seek vengeance for what supposedly happened in the first fight. Cotto will stick and move, stick and move...cruise to a UD.

When you get caught with plaster in your wraps everything deservedly becomes a lose lose situation

Not necessarily.....Marg still has the ability to secure big names to fight.. he has Cotto lined up and IF he wins Sergio is already getting his pen out to sign for a rematch.....so while his rep and legacy will forever be tarnished, Marg can still do some big things before he hangs'em up. But that is all dependant upon his winning.
