It's hard to see Marquez winning this last fight, but I can't see him being destroyed like most of you guys do. Divac may come across as arrogant and pushy, but he's right in that you should not compare Marquez' last two fights to the way he adjusts to Manny's style. The Katsidis fight was a very tactical inside fight which reminded me a lot of Chavez except that Marquez was countering and not pressuring. Inside fighting will get you tagged obviously, but it was the right move for Marquez to make. Very clever.
As for Manny.. well speed is important in any fight, but it is not the key in this case. Timing is. Check out on the second video at 2:39- 2:42 .. awesome move. It will be yet another great fight between these two fine fighters. |

Very good points. I often feel that Marquez is the inverse of great pressure fighters like Chavez and Duran. He has admitted to studying their techniques closely, and it shows. |

Thanks for the vids.
![]() You can see that Marquez is constantly moving to his left to take away the southpaw left hand and also establishing the outside foot. That's something he did very well versus Pac in their last fight.... but I'd like to see much more of a jab from JMM. Always thought if he would've put a jab on Pacquiao he could've won either fight by a wide margin. Nice vid, but it looks like he's taking it extremely easy so it's hard to judge how sharp he's looking. He didn't even throw enough punches in bunches for me to get an accurate read on his speed which is what I'm most worried about for this fight. Against Mayweather at welterweight, Marquez looked slower than a slug on salt. |

1) manny isn't smart enough to neutralize JMM the way Mayweather did
2) shot old man with his ATTEMPT at boxing made manny look silly, JMM can actually box |

This will be Pacquaio's toughest fight in a while. Marquez will give him hell believe it. He has done it 24 rounds before, he'll do it again. Win or lose, Marquez is going is going hard.

JMM's clockwise movement is going to keep Manny off balance, a lot in this fight. The opportunities to counter will most certainly be there for him. This will be competitive for as long as it lasts, I think.
