Default What if Manny pacqauio had fought the miguel cotto of 2007?

And what if the fight was at 147 and not a catchweight?Could the fight have played out any diffrently?I think it could have.Anybody else think the miguel cotto that manny paqcquio fought was not the same cotto that judah and mosley fought?

You act like it was close? Pac gave him a beating, I like cotto but Pac>Cotto, no matter when.

Different story, Prime cotto with a real trainer would of poped that jab out application night

The 2 years and 1 pound wouldn't make a difference. Pac still shreds him.

The Cotto that Manny fought had taken a lot of facial damage, and no longer the confidence of the pressure fighter type after Margo (where he took a ****load of that facial damage), plus his shoulder had been damaged and caused him to alter his style to be more left-dominant. He'd likely have put up a better show with more right hand work, and in some ways, I feel, having followed Miguel through it, that while he had lost some of the confidence he once had, and had become more likely to pull back on you, even if he was doing serious damage, he also seemed to become a more subtle boxer from mid-outside range, in some ways? I think he'd have been more competitive but lost in a fight where he'd likely have made more of the match look like the first three or four rounds, but still ultimately been ground down, to a rough last few rounds where he would begin to get clearly dominated by the fighter with the tremendous stamina, although, this time, making the distance. My two cents, anyway. He'd probably have made the distance without the ref's mercy as it is, after much backpedaling. The weight changed nothing. It was a needless asterisk. Cotto weighed one pound more for Clottey.

Seeing as Pac would've made the jump straight from super feather, Cotto would've taken him more lightly and gotten sparked Hatton style. This is the same Cotto who's head Judah almost took off on a couple of occasions early in their fight

manny is a stylistic nightmare for cotto

any version of cotto loses to manny

2007 version doesn't lose as bad

the one pound didn't matter

emmanuel stops and always puts on beat down on cottoe no matter when, what weight, and who's training him

Cotto may have done a little better, but then again, a more offensive Cotto would be at more of a risk for Pacquiao's lightning quick attack as well.

Cotto would fight more and possibly get stopped earlier. I think he did well in the first bit. His jab seriously troubled Manny, but the wide array of power shots would rain down sooner or later. I think Cotto would have stayed in the fight for much longer, but Manny surely takes Cotto's shot better than Cotto takes his.

PAC is the worst fantasy fighter ever...period

PAC already beat Cotto but in a fantasy fight PAC would still get his azz kick by Cotto.

In other words, you read none of the comments so far.
