Default Lucia Rijker, IBHOF? Yes or No? And why?

Lucia Rijker, female, 17-0 Boxing record, 37-0 Kickboxing record, already the first female in the World Boxing Hall of fame since 2009. Billy "The Blue Bear" in Million dollar Baby. Retired since 2005, when she had to pull out of a million dollar fight with Christy Martin due to a ruptured Achilles tendon. For what she meant to female boxing, does she deserve an induction into the IBHOF?

Personally I love her guts. I'd say yes, tentatively. For her accomplishments and what she did for women boxing.

What are your thoughts?

Yes clearly... she was one of the women who put womens boxing on the map.
One of the first females that could actually box, hit hard (like you saw in the vid), never been beaten and she even got ducked throughout here career by that Christy Martin chick.

Exactly IBHOF material

LoL. I'll pretend my irony detector wasn't on there. Her kickboxing record was awesome if not unrivalled, her boxing record was great. She didn't fight just tomato cans. She was the best female boxer in the world for a while, helped the female sport develop and gain credibility. And generated interest through her hollywood appearance in Million dollar baby. I'd say. HOF worthy. Why not?

Maybe I should've put the silly punching power video last, Grin Since it was the least relevant I guess.

I agree, Christy Martin only signed her for a million dollar purse, sadly Lucia got injured. She's an awesome fighter. Both Roach and Steward thought so.

I did not take a serious interest in female boxing until a couple years ago. Sorry I missed this gal. To bad she's not around now. Her and my current favorite female, Holly Holm, would probably be a hell of a fight, and Holm doesn't duck.

Alright, thanks for your contribution. The fact that she played in a Hollywood film only made her more viable since she helped put female boxing on the map imho. It's easy to ridicule of course.

I care more for the film than I do her, to be honest. Female fights only interest me when titties pop out.

It's hard to find boxing video's of her, but her fight with Hallback was decent enough. Shows her skill imho.

Nobody wanted to fight her in her prime, and she fought the best opposition she could. Even Laila never mentioned her name, and she was much bigger. Definately IBHOF material.

Rijker actively sought after a fight with Laila. It never materialized.

This is why I keep saying I wish she was around today. Holly Holm is the best around the right weight, and Holly fights anybody. For example, she did not owe Sanders a rematch, but gave her one.

Woman boxer of 2010 I believe? Rightly so.

Edit: I'm mistaken that was Braekhus right? Nvm 2005 amd 2006 were Holms years.
