I say this because whether you are famous or infamous, in boxing it is all good for getting fights. I think at this point, Victor is definitely infamous. Now alot of people are wanting to fight him to show how weak he is in the ring (big mistake). What fighters don't realize is that Victor can still beat the majority of fighters at welterweight. So I think Victor should eat it up and start cashing in on some potentially great match ups in the division and hopefully pick up some belts along the way.

Will not be long and we'll see Vic getting beat up and thrown in the bin. (I think Amir Khan would thuroughly dominate him)
Berto would beat him up with a defined gameplan, hell.. he'd stop him. |

We'll see whether or not Berto has learned from that. I'm a Berto fan, though I like Ortiz since his fight with PHONY, but I'd tip Berto in a rematch. Here's hoping we get it. |

He will get one maybe two more sizeable fights. Unfortunately I am starting to REALLY worry about his mental state.
Berto will take the rematch and if Berto's coaching, strategy, and application of tactics is right? Berto wins. Kahn takes the fight and for Kahn this is a dangerous fight. If Kahn wins? Bradley may come knocking. If he cuts weight? Maidana will come calling. Sprinkle Rios in there somewhere for a fun grudge match. Soto, Holt, etc... Ortiz does have a future, however it is a TOUGH road to hoe. I really worry if he has the mental toughness to make it through. If he loses any two of the fights above? I don't see him surviving mentally. |

Thats the way I see it to man. Victor was always going to lose to May, but the way he lost was much better for his career than being dominated or properly stopped. It leaves question marks about him, and he may still believe he would have won had it went on properly, which is good for his own ego. It was a blessing in disguise for Vic. Maybe he will get a shot again at May in the future and be ready then. I wish him all the best.

Victor takes Berto out this time. He is just too open for a big puncher like Ortiz. Hell in Bertos last fight he looked like he was on his way to being stopped by a much lighter puncher.
I want to see a rematch of that instead as it was a fight Berto was about to lose. |
