Are you a powerlifter or olympic lifter? If not, why do you think these numbers matter?

Just saying, unless you're in some type of competition don't worry about the numbers, lift what you can and improve slowly. You're too young and inexperienced to be worrying about this type of thing. Worrying about weight is a bad road, leads to injuries and frustration.

We can't really say if your numbers are good or bad anyway as we don't have a comparison, everybody is different.

I agree with viru§™.

Think about it this way: even starting at a very low weight, if you only add 1 kg per week, that adds up to 52 kg in one year. So don't worry about the weight for now, just keep at it.

Learn the techniques properly and get knowledgeable people to critique your form. Patience is the name of the game. Be consistent and smart when investing your time and effort in the gym. It will eventually all pay off.

You gotta do things right: you train right, you eat right, you sleep right, you **** right, and you'll be all right.

Don't worry about it. I'm 15 and 140lbs and can max about 70kg on the bench press. I never train it though, because it really isn't that important though. I know a guy who at 71kg can bench 130kg for 8 reps, but it doesn't help his boxing much.

Im in the same position mate only just starting strength training really, in the grand scheme of things im weak as! But it doesnt bother me, like anything iv done im only interested in improving myself not what other people can do!

Eg i can bench 40 kg and id rather do that for 5 sets with good technique and slowly increase it than put on another 10kg-20kg and do one set or less shittily

Lefty, it's only near double his bodyweight for 8 reps, nothing special.

Most standards would put this guy at advanced to elite level lifter (for the average gym rat) for lifting that weight once, but he can supposedly do it for 8 reps? Come on.
