At the age of 19 how many amateur fights should you have had if your aiming to go pro?

As far as non-titlists go, Guinness really didn't have all that horrible a career - as long as you leave out all the great expectations. Leave them in, and it was indeed a disaster (of Southern origin).

To the OP: however many it takes for your coaches to feel comfortable with you making the leap. It might not be many. Don't rush to cram in as many as possible just to pad the number up. Quality over quantity (although both would be ideal).

ray mercer turned pro at 28 with little amateur expierence

guys like chavez sr turned pro at 16 with none or little
