Would Calzaghe have KO'd Kessler?
If the ref hadn't broken them up?
2:40 in Kessler visibly shocked by a body shot. 25 - 30 seconds left in the round. Ref literally pulls Joe off a helpless Kessler. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-9xkXD8rbU[/ame] |

Kessler should have been throwing body shots when he fought Joe. I think he literally only threw one body punch. Can't slow down Calzaghe without some body work.

Kessler said he was hurt to the stomach and didnt want to go down. I think Kessler would have fought through the pain and stayed up.
I dont think Kessler would have been stopped. Kessler was in his prime and getting what will almost definately be the biggest fight of his career. Kessler is a real warrior |

of course. look at the devastating power that he knocks out his opponents with. any other ref that calzaghe had in britain would've stopped the fight after he lnaded his first 3 slaps on the gloves |

I was a big Calzaghe fan and overall it was a great performance but no, I don't think that Kessler gets KO'd by that mix of styles. Too much grit at that point. Good win for Joe, but points was always on the cards and was a fair result. |
