Linares has the skills but no power to hold Rios off.

Linares has great offensive ability. Good combinations, great variety, and above average handspeed, but he was beaten tonight by not only himself, but the heart and will of Antonio DeMarco. Rios has already showed on several occasions that he is a tough mother****er with notable heart himself, and yet he also has very good offensive ability and genuine knockout power. I think it'd be inevitable that Rios would eventually break Linares down through the mid-rounds. I don't think we'd see Linares dominate for large periods like he did tonight either. Rios brings more to the table than just toughness and a will to win.

Congratulations to DeMarco. He dug deep.

Rios does what DeMarco did...just far quicker, far more effectively and...far more impressively. Linares v Vazquez would be a good fight though...

Nah, Rios isn't getting out-boxed to that degree for that period of time. He'd have stepped it up by rounds 4-5.

See quicker. I meant more Rios breaks him down and stops him, I think he'll get out boxed, maybe 4 or 5 rounds Maximum (A la Acosta) but he'd be breaking him down all the time and get him in 6 or 7.

Rios stops him mid rounds. Will...power & just too damn big to hold off at 135.
