Thanks Kegsy and Huricn. I've finished for the year and will start fresh in 2008.

I know a lot of people put shit on Fenech as a trainer but he did an excellent job in the corner keeping Geale focused and confident in his game plan.

I think a fight with Sam Soliman would be a half decent scrap for both men.

Yeah, totally agree.
I reckon it was close to the best i have ever seen Fenech as a trainer on friday.
Danny Green back in the day seemed to prefer not listening to him. Good to see Geale does.

Thats the thing a lot of people blame fenech for his fighters losing on the big stage, but often it has been a case of the fighters doing the opposite to the things he asked them to do, e.g Hussein V Larios Fenech told him to let his hands go and tried to give him confidence but Hussein went out and barely threw 5 punches. He was always telling Vic to shorten and straighten his punches like he does in the gym, but nope Vic would go out and try and ko with every punch.

Egberime will do just about the same as what happened in Medlys last step up, too fast and a slick dude with a high work rate will put Medly in survival mode for most of the fight again. Big UD for the Eg

Medley is massive at welter tho.
I think it would be close, with a slight edge to Medley.

Yeah i feel the same way.
Alot of the time it was them getting a mind of their own instead of sticking to the gameplan.

I know but that last bloke (i forget his name) was an ex LW and heaps smaller than Medly, yet Medley couldn't seem to handle a fast and high punch rate to be offensive i think Eg would do something similar after seeing that fight, it would be more competitive but Eg seems to have more natural ability etc for Medley to really get enough offense goin to win.

True. That Thai Nakbalee got destroyed by Ranee Ganoy in only 2 rounds last month.
Medley does have some work to do with his using his height & reach to his advantage.
I would like Medley to gain a bit of confidence fight 1st with an average fighter, then take on the likes of a Egberime.

It was Isaac Hlatswayo last time, Medley showed he does have the tools, i think it was the last round he actually started punching and put Isaac on the back foot, but was way too late.

Yeah he did, he admitted tho that he was way too cautious.
It was a great learning experience for him, as he learnt more i reckon that night than in all of his previous 18 wins.
