Interesting matchup, as we have two guys about the same size with iron chins fighting a similar style. However, since Bonavena carries a bigger punch, and produces more activity on average than Godoy, then I would say that Ringo would outwork Godoy to a UD. And Luigi, this has nothing to do with Ali vs. Louis, because I know that that is the first thing you will say after reading this.

A more serious answer: While Godoy is the better fighter of the two, he may play into Bonavena's main strengths--roughness and punching power. Much of this match depends upon which of the two fighters was physically stronger and could push the other around.

I give Godoy the edge. He went 15 the first time with Louis and put up a decent fight. If he could give Louis trouble, then Bonavena would seem like a warm up.

So, I can say if Bonavena went 25 with Frazier, then Godoy would seem like a warm up.
