Default Fenech v Naseem Hamed

OK..Fenech verses Prince Naseem...another smashup...who wins?
..I'm goin' with Fenech in this one too..in his prime he had all the attributes to be Hamed's kryponite...chin...workrate..half decent boxing ability...the tools someone like Barrera possessed when he tamed the Prince...
..Fenech by UD..

Fenech the Naseem's showboating and antics would count for nothing against Fenech,he would eventually grind him into the ground.!!!

Both in their prime, Fenech would have been Naz's 'Daddy', exactly the way the great MAB was. Work rate, fitness, heart all beat Naz anyday of the week.

Naz was Frank W@rren's greatest well hyped, well matched myth...

It would have come down to whether Jeff Fenech could have regularly laid gloves on Naseem Hamed. Most other fighters couldn't. With Barerra being the obvious exception. Fenech of course usually had no problem punishing his opponents.

..that was the thing with Fenech but hey mate...he'd impose himself on blokes and they'd have to fight his fight...and not many could match his pace...he's basicly drag 'em into the deep end and drown them...and Hamed was technically flawed with his random style..Fenech would've had no trouble findin' that chin the accumulation of blows would've taken the ascendancy off Hamden..

I think you are right with the body attack. Too many of Hamed's opponents kept trying to hit his chin and he was as slippery as an eel. If Fenech slowed him with body shots first he might have been able to punish Hamed.

Hamed was far from being a myth. Apart from the inevitable boxing politics, he owned every belt in the Featherweight division.

He beat Stevie Robinson for the WBO belt and then bashed Tom Johnson for his IBF strap. Wifredo Vasquez was stripped of his WBA belt just weeks before facing Hamed and then he beat Cesar Soto for the WBC belt.

You don't beat every organisations' champion by being a myth. He wasn't in Barrera's class, but there's no shame in that - most aren't.

..Hamed was a classic really..he was so wrong he was right...who else could pull off the lead uppercut like Hamed did...I think what got him in the end..apart from the techniquely true boxing style and the granite chin of Barrera...was his lack of disipline outside the ring and all the training in the wee hours of the mornin'/night..and he general estrangment from Brendan Ingle..he was tryin' to do it on his own..his way..and it bit him on the arse..

I think Fenech wins this pretty clearly.

Hamed looked slick against predictable fighters who stood off him..but he was actually pretty hittable.

Jeff would tear him up on the inside...and frustrate him with his doggedness.

He wouldn't get by without some rough moments however.
