And I like Pac'.
Harada was as dynamic a swarmer as Pac, as ferocious, as deadly. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_NkecvCRa0[/ame] He should rightfully be a 3 weight weight World Champion, with as impressive a resume as Pac, if you use common sense; Caraballo; Rudkin; Jofre x2 (or 1-1 for some); Medal (1-1); Ebihara; Famechon; Hawkins; Kingpetch x2. There is nothing between them in terms of ability. Pacquiao has some incredible weight jumping credentials and a style all of his own with awe-inspiring handspeed and consistent assault, but Harada also displayed a rounded game and could string together just as manny punches as Manny in sustained barrage, and didn't have the benefit of 24 hour rehydration periods, nor did he have numerous light/super divisions and multiple titles and still achieved titles in numerous weights and beat great fighters. So, if you view each mans close fights a certain way (not intentional bias, just if you yourself see say, the 2nd Kingpetch fight for Harada, and the Marquez fights for Pac) could you feasibly rate Harada as the greater fighter? I am, today anyway |

I think you can say Harada beat better fighters......but Pacquiao beat bigger guys......
and in my opinion good welterweights like Cotto, Clottey.....a very big guy like Margarito......etc... Last edited by Vic-JofreBRASIL; 03-12-2013 at 01:56 PM. |

Nah. I don't think there's a whole lot between them though. Harada's guaranteed a spot inside the top 50 for me, Pac probably cracks the top 30. Comparatively, Harada was a bit lazy, and that's the main difference.

it's being kind to Pacman to say there's nothing between them in terms of ability. Who is it that getting the compliment here? Pacquiao is greater than him for me but ability wise? Are we talking from a technical perspective? Harada was the fucking shit in that department with no reservations.

Sorry, you guys have got the wrong end of the stick!
I was taking the piss in the thread title. I'd probably still have Pac higher, and I'm a big admirer of his style and his body of work. I was being outlandish and crass for no reason other than to be outlandish and crass. For that I apologise ![]() Good to see I'm not insane and y'all can see where I'm coming from. |

In terms of ability, I don't think there's much in it between Pacquiao, Harada, and Chang. Pacquiao does deserve the highest ranking, all things considered, though. Those 3 are the cream of the crop among Asian fighters.

Who would miss out on the top five between Villa, Elorde and Ebihara? Which is the next tier IMO. |
