he will tehn resort to clinching, wrestling, holding, body slamming, low blows, ddt's. you wont see a master defensive fight in the pac fight. what you will see is an ugly, dirty fight from floyd. a more offensive but dirty fight from flloyd. edit: and floyd wont pulling back right counter on pac's left straight. he wont doing a lot of bending from the waist as he is susceptible to pac's left. |

Floyd by far. He can counter going backwards, land very accurately while sidestepping, and knows how to cut off the ring. Pacquiao only looks like he has great footwork against straight forward fighters. He still fought technicians and shows decent footwork against them but it's not nearly as good as made out to be, no where near.

There's a lot of Pacquiao fans that are going to be completely devestated if this fight ever happens and he loses. They talk about him like he's superman, unbeatable. At least Mayweather fans are sometimes moderately realistic.

It's like asking who has a better jab, Lennox Lewis or Larry Holmes.
Pacquaio relies on his feet more not only for his defense, but also for his power. Mayweather's are a lot more educated but not as quick. But you watch Floyd against Castillo in that first fight and he was giving up too much ground with his feet. I'll have to go with Pacquiao's footwork, not because it's better, but because it does a lot more for him. Floyd can change direction, counter and play defense with his feet flat because of his superior reflexes, twitch fibres and upper body movement. Manny has to do almost EVERYTHING with his feet. He has improved it as well over the years. There's more purpose and timing to his footwork now. Manny is incredible with his in and out movement and that's purely down to his feet. If you look closely he's actually moving when the opponent is punching and punching when his opponent is moving. That requires footwork of the highest order. He combines extremely FAST feet with GOOD feet and that's very rare. There is a difference btw, just look at Amir Khan who has fast feet, but not good feet. |
