I remember once upon a time when i thought it was consensus that Lewis was greater, better H2H and would beat Johnson. Then some people argued against that and i made a thread.

Some people fancy Johnson to beat Lewis and rank him higher H2H. A lot think of him as greater.

I would put my life on Lewis winning.

This matchup would lend credence to those that feel a modern fighter has too many advantages over a fighter from the past as far as size and skill are concerned. As good as Johnson was he would be in over his head here. Lewis has the edge in just about every category. Johnsosn would have to get in close and try to land something significant on Lennox in order to have a chance. Lennox could stay outside and box with his significant height and reach advantage plus he has the power to hurt Jack whenever he gets too close. Lennox by decision or late round stoppage.

Lewis by UD or TKO, depending on his mood that night.

Apologizing is a pure sign of internal strength. Being first to admit you are wrong when you have made a mistake or wronged someone you shouldn't have is a whole lot better than being a pig-headed idiot and trying to save face.

As for the thread, tough one to call, but I'd go with Jack Johnson for 15 rounds UD. Lennox would get countered the whole night, but he'd land big shots against Johnson too.

So, let me understand. If you are constantly ****ing up and wrong, but apologize for it, you are stronger than actually being right and/or doing something correctly. Gotcha.

As for our match-up, how is Johnson with his piddly 74 inch reach and lean back over his back foot stance ever going to make contact with Lewis who made an art form out of controlling distance?

This ain't those sawed-off barroom brawlers that he called opponents we're talking about.

I think that a much stronger argument can be made for Johnson, than was mounted for Jeffries.
This is a fighter who was proven to be adept at beating larger opponents.

Stylistically i agree.

Johnson has his own way with Lewis in the clinch. Lewis really would have no idea how to deal with Johnson (for obvious and perhaps unfair reasons). Lewis would try to clinch down and lean from the outside, but this would only leave him prime for the uppercut. Johnson would be dominant and would not make the mistake of being hit clean. Even the Cuban sun Johnson probably wins as Lewis is unlikely to have the same stamina and chin that Willard had.

I understand you Seamus. If you are constantly making mistakes against someone or doing the wrong things and apologizing, it's not really learning anything.

Being first to say you are sorry to someone you've really hurt and made a legitimate mistake as opposed to hoping your wrong will be righted by it fading away is the worst wrong.

Dude, I'm only joking. Seriously, don't take me seriously.

Unless I am informing you that Johnson has no chance against Lewis. And if you think Lil Arthur could throw an uppercut at close range, you need to watch more Lewis.

Agree with what the TS said. Just a bad, bad match up for Johnson. Lewis easily wins, Johnson would probably have his moments, but more than likely Lewis would win, and win pretty easily by UD.
