Default Green will never ever i mean never beat Mundine!

If both step into the ring healthy

I am an West Aussie and a green fan, but he's far too 'exceptionally ordinary' to beat the talent of Mundine

reminds me of a Lleyton Hewitt v Roger Federer matchup in tennis. Lleyton is a damm solid player with solid technique, sound basics, is fit, mentally tough etc (i.e exactly like Danny) but Roger is the artist, the natural talent, the guy who can break the fundamental rules of the sport to be exceptional (like Mundine). Lleyton at his best will never ever beat Roger at his best and the same goes for Danny and Mundine

Agreed. In my opinion apart from the money to be made it is a terrible fight for both, Mundine has beaten Green convincingly and it would be a backwards step for him, he has to step up NOW. Green should fight someone closer to his skill level and then he can end his career on a high note

Please dont compare Tennis to Boxing, one shot cant end a tennis match, one punch can end a fight. Ive fought before and im sure other fighters on here will agree Boxing is a unique sport. Im not saying Green will win or lose, but every fighter has a chance.

Green doesn't have the punch to end it with just one, Kessler couldn't land 2 or more in a row on Mundine so you know green won't, Green doesn't punch as hard as alot of people believe.

That is true, boxing is more comparable to football (soccer) in the essence that one team/guy can dominate for almost the entiore time, but still end up losing.

Green would have a bit of a chance in a rematch, but Mundine would be the favourite. I think the rematch (if it happens) will generate a bit of hype, and wouldn't be a step back for Mundine as there is a title on the line.

I just hope that they don't set a date say October or so, then it's Argie tune ups until then . If they do get it on, it should be fairly soon.

Good analogy by Peterp

Green still misses too often with his punches and he would be picked off easily by Mundine...he can crow about this belt or that belt, real, interim or part time but the bottom line is Green talked it up for 5 years about doing this and that to Mundine and he was embarressed in sydney last year.It will haunt him forever and he pumps it up about it being on his terms this time but deep down he knows and so do his supporters that last night was an average performance by him only made to look good by the worst performance i have ever seen from a defending champion.

If they do end up fighting lets hope the Perth boys get on the undercard again, keep the same boring Mundine undercard fighters in Sydney. Last nites card was competitive, not one thai cab driver.

It was a quality card, and the Kickett/Browne fight was worthy of being a main attraction itself.

Green has more power than Kessler IMO. For a Mundine win, he could claim to be a 3 time world champion in 2 different weight classes and could open up a lot of doors for bigger fights on the world stage. For Green to win it could also help by avenging his defeat and make a lot of money in the process. A loss will be really bad for either fighter. It might be a big fight here but it really doesn't register on the world stage, which is why I'd rather see them take on other fighters.

last time out mundine won very easily, probably by shut-out. Green looked daft at the weight and suits light-heavy much more. It's only a few kilo's but he looks much better and moves better.

I would probably still take mundine to beat him but green would put on a far better show against him at LH.

I havent but met someone that has... well trained with him.

He said that Greens power was not great... but his timing was amazing... build pressure force an error and then a sweetly timed shot for the KO.

but one punch sheer power he did not rate Green very highly at all... ie he did not believe green could drop someone wiht a bodypunch or anything like that...
