Default Calorie counter wtf!?

Hi all, does anyone here bother to count calories in their training?

Anyway if you look up the data on the number of calories burned from say, 27 minutes in the ring (which is 3minutes x 9 rounds), you expend no more than 500 calories? wtf? That's a tiny tiny amount in all respects. Thats what the data returned at healthstatus.com says....

Most of the time if you go hard sparring for NINE rounds, you'd be pretty knackered and wanting to replenish that after you've rested.
I cant believe the calories burned from sparring is that small, you can go to the site and input your data. I'm not convinced by their measurements, unless someone here can make sense of it.

Counting calories is meant for what you eat. And could help if you want to lose weight. However it virtually impossible to know how much an excercise burns due to everyone doing it at different intensities and us beng diffferent weight etc.

Everyone expends different amounts of calories in the ring, in fact you will expend different amounts yourself at different times even, that figure it just a very rough guide, a starting point.

You have to figure the actual amount out yourself by counting the calories you eat and then how much weight you lose/gain etc.
