Default I got maybe a stupid question but it's about the official rules....

Don't laugh at me too much, okay? I got into a discussion with a buddy of mine about punches that land on the chest whether they were on purpose or not. Are those legal? If they aren't then are they scoring punches? Is there any rule on that? Do they count like body shots or if they do it so it's obvious is it something you can get called for? It's weird I never really thought of it much. I guess because of the heart it shouldn't be legal? I don't know! I feel so dumb I been watching fights forever!

I suppose hitting d chest is legal just because I didn't hear/read otherwise .
I remember Foreman saying Holyfield was/is smart 4 hitting d chest and I read that d referee fucked Charles in his 3rd fight vs Cream by not allowing him 2 hit Cream's collarbone .

Legal and useful. Jab to the chest is useful to find the range or offbalance the opponent.

Holyfield jabbed Lewis' chest effectively in the rematch during the first half of the fight.

Adamek for a period was also doing this very well at CW.

Jimmy Young used to target the heart specifically, he was such a vicious beast, only looking to stop you any way he could. You know the Rocky character Ivan Drago? Remember his line "If he dies, he dies."? That was inspired by Jimmy Young, who was asked specifically about his well-timed heart punches.

"I'm there to take hearts. If he dies, he dies."

~Jimmy Young, shortly before brutally destroying Ken Norton in a 15-round split decision loss TKO victory that he was robbed of, because corrupt judges don't count victories that you lose or knockouts where the guy isn't hurt.

I thought the solar plexus was right under the chest in the middle above the abs? Still it seems it's legal from what everybody's saying. So I guess you couont it as a scoring body shot?
