Seriously... that guy should never conduct another interview in his life. His questions were absolutely pathetic... on a 4th grade level. Then trying to throw jabs in the entire time. That isn't called "asking the tough questions"... that is called trying to pick a grade school argument. What a complete show of disrespect for a guy who gave up his time to sit down and give them an interview.

That was a great interview - but he totally blindsided Sonnen. I remember seeing him try something similar against Vince Macmahon and others. The clips are probably still on Youtube.

Part of being a good interviewer is calling people out, sure. But you don't start off an interview by mangling an accusatory question in a hostile tone. Especially not when the guy is donating his time for free. What's wrong with just saying "Chael, welcome and thanks for taking the time to appear on the show. Instead the guy is belligerent and confrontational from the start, and he can't phrase a question to save his life. Then as soon as Chael gets mad at him, the guy's tone of voice and body language change completely, and he turns into a bitch.

What did this guy do? Tries to accuse Sonnen of backing down from challenging Silva (ridiculous), stumbles over his words, and generally comes off like a bumbling idiot. That could have been a good argument because Chael gave him PLENTY to work with, but the guy just didn't have the skills, the wit or the gravitas to put Chael in his place.

The interviewer is Michael landsberg and he's been doing interviews for probably 20 years now, with MUCH bigger names and actual celebrities. Chael was an idiot to let him get under his skin so much. Michael, comes to my store, and tries to get at them a bit to achieve an interesting interview. Chael was was too easy though and came across looking like a total fuktard. I think Michael shouldn't have taken 1-2 of those cheap shots toward the end but he was getting pissed off himself.
But Chael should know better than that, he acted like a mental patient and wanted to be a dick even with the simple questions. The mack move would've been cutting him off and Michael telling him he's a waste of time for his viewers. Chael would've looked like an even bigger ass.

WHAT!? That interviewer has been interviewing celebrities and top athletes for 2 decades! Sure, he opened up with a tough question but it sure got Chael going didn't it? That's the point. It's about ratings and is a show dedicated to a no bs following. Chael was fortunate to even be on that program. Nobody outside hardcore MMA fans know who he even is. Thousands and thousands of people just watched saw him for the first time and all he did was spit on them by being a complete jackass. The interviewer tried to let up and fire some easy questions and Chael couldn't help but continue his dickness.
That INTERVIEWER regularly has CELEBRITY athletes and legends on his show, 10 times more popular than little Sonnen. Chael obviously had no respect for it seeing as he just thinks of Canada as most dumb americans do. His ignorance was pathetic. He should thank them for giving him some extra exposure because he fukin needs it. Definitely jackass of the year nominee.
