Pacquiao admitted to getting hurt by Marquez.

A vast majority of posters on ESB (including respectable ones) agree that Marquez landed the cleaner punches in a majority of rounds.

Stop posting bullshit about how Marquez's punches just "looked pretty" as if Pacquiao landed anything more meaningful than Marquez. You're embarrassing yourself man. Let it go.

-the problem is which punches you are going to roll. pac doesnt load up his anymore. wathc the clip above. watch the fight in slowmo, marquez was just reacting to pac's punches, and most of the time touching/reaching him. on normal motion video, it looked like he landed because pac's hair flailed/raffled as he covered and/or evade. pac is no longer your traditional boxer. he trained for speed, speed and more speed for this fight because he knows he can take marquez punches.

if you do all the steps you mentioned there, you will eat 3-4 punches before you are in the third step.

im not saying you are wrong. im saying, against pac, this is difficult to do.


Pac doesn't command anything. He commands picking shot, old, and perfect style opponents. Nothing more. He ALWAYS picks the loser. He messed up when he picked JMM.

im not sure pac will get to that point, prolly in his 40's. if he wants to stay, he has to learn to use defense first and then counter. if he doesnt, he going to end up like rjj who still fights like he has the same reflexes.

jordan wasnt the same jordan at his last run to three peat. he relied more on backing up (similar to walking down opponents in boxing) his guards and fade aways(similar to counters) than straight up breaking down the defense and drive to the basket or shoot, outjumping everyone in the process (in and out and punching from all angles).

people evolved (forced to use different tricks) when their old self is no longer capable, to stay in the game, in this case, at the highest level. thats just life is.
