Hey, disagree with me all you want. That doesnt bother me. Pick holes in my opinions, great! But when people are arguing against facts they need to be told whats what.

I am happy to discuss stuff with people but when someone says that Duddy might be able to fight Sebastian Sylvester but he will never fight for a world title - when Sylvester has the IBF title and is fighting Bill Lyell for it then I am afriad that I am duty bound to out that mistake.

And if they then start slagging off Irish Americans as idiots for supporting Duddy then I will again tell them.

The hate that Duddy gets not just on ESB but many boxing forums is sickening and it winds me up. Duddy is a really nice guy, never personally puts a foot wrong, never slags anyone off or acts the big shot, was screwed over for a lot of his career and missed out on a number of shots that would have advanced his career and still gets stick.

I like him and wish him well and support him in his quest to further his career and earn a bit of dough and if people as spouting unadulterated baseless nonsense about him then I will stand up for him and set the record straight like I would for other boxers from Ireland.

am so excited about this that I have to tell someone that understands the appeal of boxing - I am irish, in america for the next 6 months and I just got tickets to Pac-Clottey.... GASP. And now there is talk of Duddy there too... DEEP BREATH, GASP. The last fight I was at was Long-Fitzgerald in the stadium and that was sensational!!! I'm going to have a heart attack in the cowboys stadium!!!! Okay, thanks, needed to get that out.
