I thought Bynre thoroughly deserved the draw and could even have nicked it by 1 point.
As for O'Kane, well I said a couple of weeks ago I thought even now Eubank Jr could beat him and I haven't changed my mind.

I had it 77-75 Byrne, and I think for the short notice he boxed absolutely tremendously. You could see how much that meant to him aswell, no title on the line but he wanted it so badly. It's as if he just wants to prove that he's a decent fighter, written off by so many after his losses and given little chance by most tonight.

Dean Byrne has earned himself some big fights after tonight, hopefully he gets them and hopefully they're at Light-Welterweight, because I think down there he'll be very tough to beat.

Dissappointed for Magee taught he'd rough up Kessler a bit more making him work for it

Brian is a class act and a true pro. I, too, hope that he calls it a day, but he's been nothing but a credit to irish boxing since he was an amateur.

Couple more big fights in him I reckon. Before tonight he lost 2 of his last 15 fight - against Froch and Bute.

I think he could still headline a few massive shows in Belfast. He would still be undoubtedly brilliant at Euro level.

Retirement after one bad showing (tonight) would be rushed IMO...

DeGale or Groves next for him at a guess.

Thought Deano was unlucky- Jones really should have been docked a point.

O'Kane- can't expect him to bulldoze through opponents at a decent level. He got exposed but there are still plenty of fights there for him.

Magee- boxed well in the 1st, then got caught and hurt in the 2nd and for some reason tried to be offensive instead of tucking his elbows in and taking it easy for a few rounds. Still got a big payday against DeGale/Groves to come
