Buakaw Por. Pramuk vs Masato

This is their 2007 fight in the K1 max final event. (It wasn't 'the' final though)
Buakaw started well with the kicks but seemed to want to turn it into a boxing match, which is not his strongest point.

Masato outworked him and outfought him. Buakaw shouldn't have abandoned his bread and butter.

Not seen that.

I wonder why they only fight for 3 rounds in K1? Is that to make the pace fast and have exciting fights?

That is definatly a factor, but it is mostly because of the tournament setup, cant have guys fighting 3 long fights in one night.

The superfights used to be 5 rounds.

Ok..........sometimes I wish we had that tournament setup in boxing.
It would be very fun.

They've changed the rules in an attempt to make it more exciting. They also modified other things like no clinching to make it more fan friendly.
