Cintron needs to turn to MMA !

With his wrestling and boxing credentials, if he trainis for a year to put it all together and learn sub defence, with his size at 155 (he must dwarf Frankie Edgar), he would be dangerous

He obviously has gone as far as he can in boxing

I actually felt bad for him watching the Alvarez fight. I think Margarito may have stolen his soul.

I just watched the last round,and I was expecting him to look AWFUL from what i read. He was beaten down but he did throw some good punches and seemed to be trying what he could in that last round.

I don't think Cintron has progressed much as a fighter. He still has the same bad habits and tendencies he did years ago, IMO.

RJJ was right, it was like he didn't want to throw punches. For a guy who was regarded as a real powerpuncher not long ago, his punching style looked terrible, like a scared kid in their first fistfight.

Cintron just needs to retire. He doesn't have the will to get beat up anymore, in fact he never really had it. Either he would knock guys out he could dominate, or whine to the ref when it got to rough for him. He never was an elite level fighter, when he stepped up competition, he lost every time, quit, or got a gift draw.

He is a guy who just never evolved. I wouldn't call him weak minded, you don't get as good as him without some strong will. But his will simply isn't at the level of the true elite. Would he do well in MMA? No. His career would be similar to his boxing career. He would have a quick rise, meet higher level competition and get embarrassed. Sadly for him though, MMA doesn't have the huge can crushing that boxing allows for all that often. Maybe what he really needs is a sports psychiatrist.

If someone doesn't even want to box then why the hell would he want to fight under MMA rules?

No, because even looping shots more characteristic of MMA striking fuck his world up.

He'd get KTFO/submitted in the first round against anybody with a pulse.

Cintron always has and always will have a weak mind. Obviously he'll fuck up your average Joe but on the top level where your heart and ability to adapt are tested he will come up short. You can see the quit on his face, you can see his body wilting before its time and that always leads to defeat. He has height, reach, power and some skills. Even his chin isn't the sort where his lights are put out easily.

Exactly true. His skills become meaningless at the top. He simply doesn't have the heart for those wars.

boxing it's more dangerous and harder sport than MMA

MMA is the easy way to be a fighter.
