Default rampage gets his wish...faces ryan bader in japan!

R.I.P Ryan Baders chin

The former light heavyweight champion will travel to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and face former “Ultimate Fighter” winner Ryan Bader.
Sources confirmed the fight to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] and UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta later confirmed the fight to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].
For months, former light heavyweight champion Rampage has been lobbying to fight in Japan, a country he spent several years competing in while under the Pride Fighting Championships banner.
Jackson shot to stardom during his time with Pride, having some of his best performances there with wins over fighters like Chuck Liddell and Ricardo Arona.
Now, Jackson returns to Japan for the first time since 2006 when he defeated Dong Sik Yoon by unanimous decision at Pride 31.
Facing Jackson at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] will be former “Ultimate Fighter” winner [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], who got back on the winning track in his last fight after suffering a two fight skid.
Bader made quick work of Jason Brilz at [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], knocking out the Nebraska native early in the first round. He has a new head coach in New Mexico based trainer Tom Vaughn, and has stated that he will continue to evolve as he progresses in his UFC career.
Now he gets another major test against a former light heavyweight champion.
Jackson vs. Bader is expected to be a marquee fight on the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] in Japan, but no formal announcement from the UFC has come about the placement for the bout on the show.
Currently the lightweight title fight between Frankie Edgar and Benson Henderson headlines the card taking place on Feb. 26 at Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

Rampage hasn't KOed anyone since putting the final nail in the coffin of Wanderlei's Jaw but if there is a Chin abysmal enough to give Rampage another KO victory, it's Bader's.

Would have been more interested in Phil Davis. Bader is a solid second tier guy, but I don't see what he brings to trouble Rampage really, his wins come from punching power and wrestling and he aint cracking Page's chin and I don't think he's taking him down much either.

What a shitass fight.

Knew it wasn't gonna happen after their fight but I was sort of hoping for Page vs. Shogun.

Like I assume most were, I was hoping for Rampage v Shogun.

Bader is capable of winning this fight if the Rampage that fought Hamill/Machida/Evans shows up, but if Rampage shows even an ounce of the aggression and style that made him great, Bader is in for a bad night.

Poor Bader he was undefeated for 13 fights but lost then to Jones and even Ortiz gets 1 win and has to fight Rampage

Rampage could spark him but its embarassing how predictable he is. Hence he hasn't ko'd anyone in a long time.

Even a faded Rampage should put Bader away with ease.

Bader's best bet is to try and wrestle his way to a decision, but even that will be a struggle.

i think rampage has the better striking in terms of boxing skills and k.o. punching power in both hands, that being said ryan bader has the better wrestling for UFC and i think he has the advantage in this department. Rampage has the better experience and has fought fighters similar to bader so my vote goes to rampage.
