respect for that. lots of people cant say that as you definitely know. it's funny, for the most part dominicans live on the west side and puerto ricans live on the east side. obviously it isn't unanimous but you got stuck on the dominican side, unless it was different back then. then again you were raised on 124th and in the 70's so the composition may have been a little different back then and in that area. I was born in '88 so I dont really know. It's changed a fair amount since then though, heavily gentrified, for better or worse depending on your perspective.

My immediate block was not so bad because, we were in the vicinity of Columbia University so our block was full of students etc. Mostly Ricans/Dominicans but 80% rican.
