That's very presumptuous. Maybe other posters have an agenda, but I never pick a fight based on nationality or race. I tentatively picked Boswell because he had looked very sharp in his recent fights, and this would certainly be his last chance at the big time, he had so much at stake.

Povetkin, on the other hand, had appeared to be taking backwards steps in his career for the last few years, and seemed quite lackluster in recent showings. While he may have had just as much at stake, I felt a potential lack of desire would prevent him capitalising on that. I don't remember ever picking against Povetkin before, but I did so this time because I felt like he might have lost the desire. I'm glad he proved me (and others) wrong.

Anyway, I'm not sure why you would believe that people would be so against ex-Soviet Bloc fighters. Perhaps some of the American contingent of ESB may be biased in this respect, but I believe the rest of ESB gives them close to the respect they deserve.

Not impressed. I think Adamik beats him. I met them both in Atlantic city last summer. Both nice guys although povetkin speaks no english.

That would be a great fight. For me Adamek vs Povetkin is a bout for an undisputed #3 Heavyweight of the World

I also think Adamek takes with good footwork and high workrate. Maybe his not as technically skilled or strong as Sasha but he will be far more active. Recently Povetkin doesn't look that mobile. He will have problems to hit him, definitely won't ko him. Tomasz wins it on points, UD somewhere around 116-112 after a good, competitive bout
