Default Who is "the" 2007 fighter ? (fighter of the year)

Personally i'm hesitating between Anderson Silva and Gesias Calvancante

There's also Jackson and Couture of course...
Btw , in case you've never heard of Gesias , here is his record
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

But to give you a better idea , you have to see him in action during K1's tournament...

I'll have to give it Couture.
I suppose wins over Liddell and Henderson are superior to Sylvia and Gonzaga, but Randy coming back after a 1+ year lay off to two consectutive knockouts and being 43/44 really impress me.

He should win it for sure!

Most dissapointing fighter of the year:
Crocop

crocop ? more like the most disappointing of the decade. lol...
especially when you know who he had to fight against several years ago...
To think that this cunt used to fight the likes of aerts , Bernardo , Hoost , Feitosa etc...

and finds a way to get koed , via hk by a ****ing bjj artist..
finds a way to look like shit against Kongo !!..
to think that this very same guy used to fight guys like andy Hug , Barnett , Fedor !!...

**** him !

Rampage easy. Beat the number one and number two ranked fighters in his weight class at the times they fought.

Well whats so odd is that he came roaring into the UFC from his brutal dominance of the OWGP.
I seriously thought that CC would annihilate the whole pathetic (at the time) UFC heavyweight division. I thought he would be the champion for years, I was really happy for him because he wanted to be the champ for years but could never quite achieve it in Pride.

Fedor really laid down the blueprint in how to beat CC, just walk towards him circling to your left and he will do jack shit.
Against Knogo he didn't even throw a meanigful punch that landed, not even a kick, Kongo didn't do much either, he just walked toward CC throwing weak jabs and kicks that didn't connect, CC just sheepishly looked at Kongo and didn't even hold his ground and throw back.

Against Gonzaga? Jesus....... Gonzaga did the same but was even more aggressive than both Kongo and Fedor.
It didn't help that CC didn't even bother training in a cage or train for the elbows.

The way to beat CC is clear, attack him. He can't stand to be pressured, he can't stand to be attacked or bullied himself. He collapes into a mental shell and looks lost. He is the definiton of a 1 dimensional fighter. And its not like Hatton who at least has adrenaline and guts to keep on going.
Whenever a fighter stands up to CC, CC just folds, he doesn't even fight back, against GG and Kongo he just watched them attack him.

He also barely uses his hands anymore, very rarely does he punch, now its just that left kick over and over.

I think CC is done as a fighter. I wouldn't be suprised if all other fighters come out and attack him like before. He has been figured out completley. The aura of fear and intimidation that he had, has now completley dissapeared.
So long as he isn't fed completeley worthless and hopeless bums, all his remaining fights will be tough for him.

Ahh another fighter I fogot, Mark Hunt, that was in 2006 but still, He helped create the blueprint as well, attack attack attack.
If you do so against CC, he will fold and offer no obstacle.

I have to go with Rampage. The two guys he beat were more proven than the guys Silva beat.

Oooooooohhh, NOW i understand you. What a fighter needs to do to impress Iron Duke, is to get ****ED up few times and then come back and win a fight or two. Gotcha.

No.
That is not the only 'one' thing a fighter needs to do to impress me.
But doing so certainly will, especially at that age.

I know! I'd rather watch the #1 heavyweight in the world fight middleweights and 1-0 "contenders", myself.

Wtf does that have to do with anything I said? Are you at least capable of having an intelligent progression in your thoughts?
