The thing about Pacquiao is that he doesn't need to hype up the fight by talking a lot of crap or dissing his opponents. He still manages to go over 1 million PPVs. Just imagine if he spoke better english and talking crap to the other guy... he would probably do better.

Pac has also now sold over 10 million PPVs compared to FLoyd's 8 million, and has killed Floyd in PPV sales since he retired, more than doubling Floyd's sales since 2008.
And Pac holds the record for most consecutive years with a PPV selling 1 million.
No matter what Floyd claims about how he makes more money, the numbers back Pac up as atleast as big a draw and worthy of 50-50. Anything less and Mayweather is ducking.

Let's say all these imaginary numbers from Top Rank are indeed true.

If Manny does significantly more PPV buys than Mayweather, why does he make significantly less than Mayweather?

Check out Forbes.com to verify this.

hmm.. let me see. Pac TKOd ODLH, KOed Hatton in 2, made Mosley run for his life, beat Margarito and Cotto in a brutal manner. Of course these two guys was heavily avoided by PBF.

Pac has a promoter taking a % from his fights.
Floyd has his Mayweather promotions taking much of the promoter revenue.
A smaller factor is that Pac's opponents tend to get paid more than Floyd's. Golden Boy typically don't pay their fighters as much to get Floyd the big purse splits he demands. (eg. Marquez $8-9M vs Pac, $3.2M vs Floyd)

Pacquiao outselling Floyd in PPVs is a not that hard to figure. Floyd's constant retirement plans and the way he treats his fans like shit can only hurt his PPV numbers.

Katy Perry holds the same record as Michael Jackson for most number one singles from an album

Barbra Streisand has sold more records (140 million) than Pearl Jam, Johnny Cash, and Tom Petty combined

and floyd, oscar and pac have outsold Muhammas Ali, Mike Tyson , Evander Holyfield

damn its great to be alive in this era and witness all this records being smashed, all time PPV KING, and we get PAC vs Shane Mosley who nearly 40 years old and zero wins in his last 2 fights in this mismatch.... and floyd vs victor ortiz...an 8-1 underdog who cracked under pressure in 4 rounds...while ali fought frazier 3 times, holyfield fought everyone, tyson was demolition machine..... and now maybe if we are lucky pac-marquez 4 and floyd vs tim bradley and you guys can talk about numbers some more
instead of this 2 glory boys or yes men or whatever they are somehow not fight each other yet AGAIN
