Tavoris Cloud is a good, hard-nosed, blue collar, aggressive fighter, yet it seems like he gets minimal attention from fight fans. I don't get it. He has decent power, is willing to fight anyone, and has respectable punch volume. I, personally, look forward to his next bout.
So... why no love for the man? Thoughts? |

He's not fighting anyone. It's not like he's super talented. He's a tough gritty guy that makes for entertaining fights. He should be the guy that fights everyone to build his fan base.

Cloud is the only guy I've seen actually hurt Glen Johnson. The guy comes to 'fight'. People should be more supportive. HOw many top LHWs actually want to fight Cloud? Probably not many.

A few years back there was some buzz surrounding him..... But now? .... I don't know if he has stagnated, or if it is inactivity or what. Just seems like all interest and anticipation has vanished. Fighting Erdei would have drawn some attention. But, alas.
Now get Dawson, Hopkins or Pascal and put on a show. |

It's really too bad Erdei was forced to withdraw from the fight, because that fight would have provided great publicity for BOTH fighters. I really hope Campillo is approved as a replacement, because the same holds true for a Cloud-Campillo fight.

I like him a lot. I don't think he's promoted very well, to be honest. He also doesn't get the best fights. He should have fought Pascal by now, but any negotiations for that have gone through the window.
Still holding out hope for some big fights for him in the next little while. I don't think he's a world-beater, but he's a fun guy to watch. |
