Mexico's produced better fighters. I'd say the ones from Mexico are better schooled. no comparison really

The mexican fight game has become multidimensional. JMM is a very technical boxer. Canelo is also very polished tactical. I don't think the always come forward Cuevas, Olivarez, Chavez is any kind of requirement from any mexican any longer.

Mexican use effective aggression and tend to be crafty and can take good punches.Good chin and stamina their signature punch.Body shots. They come on strong late in the fight.American defensive, fast and explosive but don't like getting popped use a lot of movement to dance out of harms way.

Define Mexican style. I often wonder to what style traits people are referring to when they say this. I train predominately Mexican American boxers in a gym where I am the only non-Mexican trainer/coach. We often hear that we teach and train a strict Mexican style but mostly that is said by black boxers and trainers. When in fact, we teach a strict hands up, straight forward, no backward step amateur style. A style which I believe will help a boxer to be better prepared for the pros. A fundementally sound and aggressive style. |

JCC for me defines the mexican style, De La Hoya defines mexican american
IMO Of course these are just generalizations as every fighter is different |
