They better both be feather fisted because I just bet everything on over 9 and a half.

More like both have very good chins. Especially Bayaar; ignore that TKO1 loss on his record and pretend it doesn't exist. It's complete bullshit. Anywhere else in the world that would have been ruled a No Contest except for in the backwards-ass UK where they had some archaic rule that wound up getting finally overturned a mere two weeks after that night (and had actually been voted out of existence by the British boxing authorities already, but due to bureaucratic red tape the rule change didn't take effect until January of this year...so the TKO1 from 12/15/10 stands on the records of Bayaar as a loss and Phil Edwards as a win . Absolutely outrageous).

Also both are kind of feather fisted, too.

People always get so confused and put off by even-money bets.

Don't they realize it's better value than any bet laid on a favorite? (as even money events implicitly have no favorite...where favorites by nature almost always pay less than a dollar on the dollar, even money means you get an entire dollar back for every one bet).

So at worst it's a 50-50 coin toss's chance - which is still BETTER odds than on any favorite you'll ever see.

If you have even a slight inclination to lean toward one option or the other at 1/1, go for it. Whatever same amount you would ordinarily pour into a typical 1/8 favorite (even a seeming 'sure thing') to get a middling return has to be worth a punt on 1/1 which is eight times better a return.

I think it's just people's minds playing tricks on them. "One? That isn't a lot..." Nevermind that by definition INTEGERS > FRACTIONS. (even money = integer of one. Almost every favorite you will ever see = fraction. Less than one full integer...) Yet the optical illusion of just seeing higher numbers makes them think that 1/1 isn't as attractive as say 8/13 when in fact it's way better. (especially if you are as confident in a given 1/1 option as you'd be in a 8/13 or even 1/8 favorite).
