Tough fight for gilbert, but he looks more messed up than jorge did at the presser. Big time confidence booster for melendez though. Really really surprised the way he was able to stand and stay in there with Masvidal.

Masvidal might not have done enough to take the belt but he won round 1,3,4, and 5. Punch stats were way off. Masvidal obviously blocked the majority of the punches. Look at melendez face compared to masvidals and who was fresher at the end of the fight. If masvidal woulda thrown that body shot more he woulda stopped gilbert.
