Odds should not be that high on taylor, he hasnt fought in 2 years and on that occasion he was brutally knocked out. We dont know how much, if anything he has left

The real-life odds are 1/40 - 1/50 on JT (with Nicklow - a passing fair journeyman ten years younger and far more active than JT - paying between 15/1 - 20/1) ![]() I hooked us up big-time. (partly due to agreeing with your sentiment and partly because it isn't even worth making a thread for odds that long. This ShoBox doubleheader next week is really the last opportunity for vCash to be spent in 2011. So tightening the odds on JT even to 1/15 is my little Merry Xmas to everybody. )

Taylor has had a longer layoff than Dirrell, had arguably the more serious health concerns (although both had cerebral trauma), is draining down to a weight he reportedly couldn't make when he was a few years younger than he is now, and is in with a better opponent in Nicklow than Dirrell has in Cunningham. It's ridiculous that the sportsbooks have Taylor a much wider favorite than Dirrell. (almost twice as wide, actually)
So yeah, y'all are quite welcome for me fixing that and adding some value back in here. (with all things being relative, if we're calling 1/15 value )

Ugh, Taylor hasn't beaten ANYONE but Jeff Lacy since he defended the middleweight title against Cory Spinks all the way back in 2007. If I end up betting on Taylor it'll be because I like him and want him to do well (which I do) and not because this is a decent risk versus reward. Which it isn't, even with IB throwing us a bone.
