Marquez even if lighter he looked bigger at the weight in, Marquez should have more desire to win this fight feeling that he's been robbed so many times. Pac probably has the judges on his site especially after what happened against Bradley. Pacman is supposedly going for the Knock Out with him having the higher chance to win a UD is a strange tactic, it sounds a bit wrong to me, and had me thinking of changing my pick, on the other hand Marquez is going for speed thing that win's you rounds and actually increases you KO chances. Didn't Roach said Pacquiao was doing wrong looking for that straight he had success in the first round and was being countered by Marquez(in the 1st fight), and that it was all wrong? Why is he encourage him to go for the Ko now ?

Thanks IB
Glenn "The Rock" Porras was a slight favorite, considered the much bigger puncher, and hadn't lost in almost five years.

Nieves has been improving himself.

Too slick, too Puerto Rican...and he never gave Porras much opportunity to check his chin.

Just from watching what you posted, I think I would like Porras as a fighter.... seemed pretty damn decent, just got hit with a good punch.

I will be tuning in for their future fights

Cool, wasnt sure

Yup, there should be at least four televised undercard fights: Zam Zam - Pitto, Keller - Boulden, Skoglund - Ainscough and Markussen - Regi.

Keller - Boulden should be interesting, and maybe Zam Zam and Skoglund (a little) too.

Markussen should win by KO1 or 2.

I hear you man, but half this stuff I think is just talk. They have to say something 'new'. In the end I expect to see pretty much the same thing we saw last fight.

How will your picks hold up when they are open to challenge by anyone?
The Peoples Champion is our uncrowned gladiator, it is open for anyone, no matter how many fights you have, no matter what your record looks like, whether you come to the thread a few times a day or once a month, or you have never even posted in this thread before. Be the first to challenge the Champs picks and the title is up for grabs.

Current 'Peoples Champion':

* No achievements of any note whatsoever, quite sad really.
* But like Salido, I will rise from the ashes and come back to become champion!

Malden (Pac) vs Kirk (JMM)
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

-----------------------------------------------------
RULES
- Anyone can participate, whether youre this years current champion or have never placed a pick in the league before. The challenge is open to all.
- There can not be a challenge issued by the same member in consecutive defences.
- If the Peoples Champion leaves for awhile, and goes 3 consecutive weeks without making a defence of his title, title is forfeited. In which case, the top two highest p4p (which will be determined at the time (Feature fight record, head to head record, money earnings, KO %, Total KO's, ect) will face eachother for the vacant title.
- The Peoples Champion must make his picks early (at least 4 days) so it gives challengers enough time to issue challenges.
- The first person to issue an available challenge will be the next challenger. The next challenge can not be issued until after the pending defence has been made. Once the result is in after the fight, the next issue may be challenged and met. No challenges made while there is a pending challenge will be counted.

Example
*Champ puts in picks
* First person to issue challenge is challenger
* While waiting for the fights outcome, be in days or hours, no challenges will be accepted.
* Once the result is official, the doors open to the next member to issue their challenge. Whoever is first, will get the challenge.
* Title fight picks must reflect actual league pick. (this does not apply to wagers). Both champion and challenger must be picking the same person in both the general league, and in their title fight.
* Should the Champion change his pick after having been challenged, he'll be stripped of the title, and the challenger will have first priority to fight for the now vacant title

Yeah, he's fun. He's got a lot of faith in his powerful left (sometimes a little too much), and if he can locate and hurt someone with it he knows damn well how to finish.

Gary Shaw has been feeding him Mexican trial horses since importing him to the US, and will probably scale him back to that level for a while now to rebuild his confidence and slowly eke his way back into the rankings to jockey for another minor title.

Nieves is more a boxer, but still nice to watch.

I'm not betting against Kessler... just out of sheer principle
I've bet some at the "over" though. I think Kess stops Magoo in the 10th (hope the 2nd half) or 11th.
