Sad and depressed right now. Won't get over these feelings for a long, long time. Pac is still my idol though. He went in there and did his thing. Was a bit overconfident but I thought he was winning the fight. Just got caught by one hell of a punch. Congrats to Marquez, probably the happiest man on the planet right now.

As a Pacfan, my hat is off to Marquez. He got the decisive win in what will probably be the signature win of his career.
What an incredible fight with the momentum shifting from one man to the other with the surprise KO as the cherry at the top. You guys thinks its FOTY? |

Very likely.
Fight of the year, KO of the year and very possibly fighter of the year. I feel either Danny Perez or Donaire have done better effort as fighter of the year, but given the popularity and shock of this fight, they may give that title to Marquez. |

Pacquiao has been finished for a long time, the last Marquez fight was the beginning of the end, then Bradley exposed him and now finally at 39 years old JMM knocks Manny out and has pretty much ended his career. Pacman needs to retire before he gets really hurt. He is no longer an elite fighter. It's over!

I believe that makes 22, meaning i didn't scored you the Estrada fight. will redo the rankings. Thanks mate.
![]() Everybody check their scores for errors. 1 point for winner another for the method of victory. Double the points for a featured fight which I forgot to do also... lol I'll re-post them when I'm done. |

Anyone remember the small speach Ariza gave about how everything has to come down eventually, leading up to the Margarito fight ?
It took me the whole day yesterday before i realized what had happened. I could not sleep for over an hour. The fight kept playing over and over in my mind. Marquez had the perfect gameplan for a KO and those two right hands were just abolutely perfect. Perfect perfect perfect ! Both time pacquiaos feet were not firmly on the ground and he did not seem to anticipate those punches that a muscled up powerhouse Marquez threw WITH EVERYTHING HE HAD !!! FULL ****ING FORCE. For a moment i thought that Pacquiao would not get up at all

I know they are just coincedences but it still feels weird lol. My last boxing dream is when I dreamed (i wrote about it on esb before it happened, I got the link somewhere) that Pavlik knocked out Taylor with a right hand bomb in the middle rounds, and now this one, in my dream Pac was getting countered crisp and hard, and I strictly heard that it was the end of the Pac era.... and now Im reading articles that say its the end of the Pac era in the title.... I dont make too much of it, I know they are just dreams and coincedences, but the truth is when things like this happen (and Ive had quite a few in my normal life, non boxing dreams) it still feels slightly eerie lol. Yours would be even moreso.... as yours showed Pac actually down and with Marquez's arms spread. Pretty crazy, man. Quote:
Not to say what they displayed are not world class, but they are not what they once were. This much is clear to me. Here is the thing, and this is why I picked Marquez to win. When two guys are physically declining, as Pac and JMM clearly are in my eyes..... things will slowly start to go the way of the one with better fundementals, and the better basic ring scientist. That is why after I watched their third fight, there was little doubt in my mind that Marquez was going to win this fight. And the thing is, the more they fight, and the more time goes by, the less chances Pac will have of winning (just imo) but anyways... thats just all my opinion at least. Ok David I really hope everything turns out ok with your father. |
