In the situation described, I don't recall have seen that. But a couple of simular situations with the corner or boxer saying he can't continue to go to the cards. Just watch the fairly recent Yoan Hernandez vs SOS Cunningham I bout, wich had even more controverse to offer
But I'm watching boxing a lot, and have seen the worst of the worst things happen. Nice mention of Italy in the thread wich was the "Germany" of the 80's (and was actually much worse), who had the worst crap you can ever imagine pulled almost on a weekly basis.

Hernandez - Cunningham was at least stopped by the doc and was a headbutt. Though the cut didnt look that bad (IBF seemingly agreeing, ordered a rematch) it is in no way as bad as Damgaard - Henry. I heard alot about Italy in the 80s, but not seeing much. Thats going to change hopefully.
