Default A Prime Glenn McCrory

How would he go on today? Where would you rank him domestically first.

The extra 10lbs at Cruiserweight would help him no end. Domestically he would dominate the 200lbs division, indeed he would be world class. But McCrory liked the Heavyweight money, and like back then, he would struggle above even area class.

WTF? So he would be world class at 200lbs but struggle above area class at heavyweight .

Yes, like he did in the 80s...

Beats the top ranked IBF Cruiserweight contender (Lumumba). As a Heavyweight, loses in seven to Dave Garside; in four to John Westgarth; in two to Hughroy...

He just seemed to struggle with the bigger guys Skel. Lewis aside he lost to some very average heavyweights yet beat some pretty decent cruisers.

Enzo Macc would be a lazy comparison but not THAT far off the mark. Even in his pomp, Enzo would have gotten flattened by the likes of McDermott, Chisora etc.

It did not help, that he made Heavyweight, by seemingly not training and pie consumption...

He had to make weight at Cruiserweight, so actually trained!

McCrory lost five of six fights above 14.5 stone so dropped back down to cruiserweight guys , where he stayed for a few years winning the I B F title before going back to heavyweight for the bigger money matches . But to answer the question he would not have done any better at the new cruiser level coz the competition would have remained the same . It would not have only benefited mcCrory , infact I think you would have had a lot of smaller heavies coming down to the new weight were they would have benefited moe than those putting weight on .
