At the DREAM post fight press-conference Emelianenko's manager Vadim Finkelstein said that the Russian's next fight can come in the spring.
"Right now, I cannot give an exact answer about the future plans. First, Fedor has to take a break, then he has to get into shape again. If he is motivated, then the next fight we can have in Russia in March or April. In the summer we are looking at the possibility of entering a European tournament in Monaco." Official DREAM site |

I hate how few legit opponents there are outside of the UFC in the HW division. People will rationalize this and that, but the UFC has the market cornered as far as the HW division goes. Realistically, who is he going to fight in Russia? Blagoi Ivanov? No thanks.

Can morono make a thread that doesn't involve Fedor? Is it too much to ask? Even Beekeeper is capable of going a few posts without mentioning Aoki.

Bring on Minowaman!
Fedor should cue into the Pudz hype train and bring him to Russia for a fight. That would probably go over huge with his fans. |

theres good fighters outside of Zuffa, its just that zombies really focus on what happens to fighters in American promotions. Take for example Overeem who wasnt a serious challenge while in Strikeforce and now suddenly he becomes pretty much entrenched in the top 3 after one fight against a CAN in UFC. FYI I have Overeem far higher to begin with prior to his UFC signing.
As for the Fedor fight, its great to see him fight more often. Hopefully this is the tournament in Russia that several fighters have been talking about. |

Anyone who knows anything knew that Overeem was a serious challenge while in Strikeforce. There are very few quality/proven heavyweights outside of Zuffa.

He HAS to sign with the ufc if he takes his career (what is left of it) seriously even though he is way past his prime he is still too good for the minor organisations

So the greatest MMA fighter the world has ever seen with the most top ten wins and one of the most decorated inside and outside MMA needs to go to the UFC to prove against green overhyped fighters, maybe even challenge against a CAN like Brock Lesnar ![]() ?how about one of the few fighters in any sport wwho OWNS a large percentage of a promotion working against that promotion, and working with a douche like Dana who has insulted him at every turn ![]() ?
