Default Hatton May have been done in partially by BB

I was reading an article on a body building web site earlier today, and it appears that Ricky HAtton had a full blown body building training camp.
Alot of protein and alot of heavy weights.
Of course building those kinds of muscles will serve you well for the bulldozing type of power he was looking for, but they will get fatigued in the later rounds and use way too much energy to keep you moving.
I'm really thinking now that Hatton trained for an early K.O, and he never intended to go 12.

well if he didn't intend on going the full 12 rounds, then his training camp worked to perfection. ; )

That wasn't his problem. His problem was accuracy. He couldn't make one of those body shots count for anything.

And during it I was thinking about that oversized body protector that Grahamn was wearing during training. Incredible how you look at that thing and think if it's possible for someone to miss it.

Some food for thought.

I understand he uses weight training, but my point was considering he was coming in bigger that equalls even more muscle, and that may not be the thing to do against someone who is not gonna be worn down by wrestling with you.
I'm sure weight training like he does would be very affective against smaller fighters because he would be just too strong early, but when he moves up, and faces someone like Floyd Mayweather bulking up does not seem smart.
I'll find the interview again. BEcause he mentions specific changes he made for this camp because of feelings that he was not getting stronger from weight training in the past or something like that. Don't quote me I'll find it and post the link

I thought that was a bad idea at the time. I was thinking why train hitting such a big target when you're gonna have such a small target on fight noght.
It's like a basketball team shooting balls into hoola hoops for 2 months before the season starts

Thats strange since he weighed in 2lbs under the limit and looked much scrawnier than he usually does. Fire the bodybuilding trainer!!
