Boytsov hasnt faced a true test up to now.His toughest opponent has been young Czech heavy weight talent Ondrej Pala so far. A pity that their fight was stopped due to a cut.Boytsov was ahead on points at the time of the stoppage, but Pala could hold his own against Boytsov. Boytsov's potential is very huge, but there are still a lot of question marks. Can Boytsov take a good punch? How will he react when an opponent gives him hell? His stamina? Boytsov strongly relies on his awesome firepower. What will happen if a foe can hold the forth and constantly fires back?Is Boytsov a warrior? He for sure is one of the most promising young heavy weight talents of this planet, but far too early to judge him correctly inasmuch as his future is concerned. Great talent with a padded record(apart from Pala) who still has to learn one or two things before he can take on fighters like Vidoz,Austin,or Bakhtov. Adnan Serin,Roman Sukhoterin,or Saami Elovaara would be good opponents for him at this stage of his career. |

Simple question here ...
Who would win a fight between Boystov and Bowie Tupou right now ? Bowie is only marginally older than Boystov. If not a fight now - then 18 months from now. Neither has actually come out and proved they can clear solid opposition, as yet. Both have been content to look impressive against very very weak opposition IMO. (Pala being an exception). Everything that Odo points to regarding Boystov still needs to be clarified before he can be elevated to be talked about in the same sentence as Tyson. Tyson fed on some easybeats no doubt but he fought then one after another in quick succession and moved up as soon as he no longer felt challenged. He spent 18 months fighting at least once a month then stepped up fast going full 10 rounds against the likes of Tillis/Mitch Green. |

Why would anybody cmpare Boytsov and Tyson? Two years ago people here in this forum did the same. Because Boytsov was so young etc. At Boytsovs age, Tyson had won 6 world title fights and unified the three titles. He was 33-0, 29 KOs. His style was different from Boytsovs. Boytsov is a more european style fighter, higher and don't have the same kind of speed and movement.

i like boystov.
i hope he is kept very active next year gradually stepping up his comp and the type of opponents he faces to get him experience. not to woorried about anything he does at this stage, in heavy terms he is a baby and will not be at his best for about 6 years yet. |
