Marciano's record may be under threat. Boystov seems to be content
to fight nothing but easybeats.

Vasquez is at least undefeated and as such an unknown commodity, but I would rather see Boytsov fight Cisse Salif (Bidenkos opponent on the same card).

He is a protected treasure.He has no say in his matchmaking.
Boytsov can bang,has charisma,is sellable to a the casual sport fan in Germany,his markebilty is very good.Why risk his unbeaten record that early in his career against a good fighter? There is no need to rush him into big fights.He is still a very young fighter.Of course he has the tools to compete with much better rated opponents,but pro fighting is a huge business in Germany.His promoter tries to get the best out of his potential cashcow.
I,too,would like to see Boytsov take on stronger opposition.It doesnt mean shit to blow out one overmatched no-hoper after another.I would like to watch him take on a tough journeyman like Sedrick Fields or rematch Ondrej Pala.He needs more rounds to try some new tricks,test his stamina,and overcome at least a little bit stiff opposition.He doesnt learn anything by knocking out overclassed foes in the very first round of their encounter.
I remember one of his fights against an Brasilian journeyman when his coach asked him not to knock out his opponent.I guess his coach wanted to watch his boy go the full route,but they had choosen the wrong foe for that purpose.That opponent didnt offer any resistance at all.

For the time being, I have my doubts about Boytsov. I say this because he seems to belabor his opponents with punches, as opposed to knocking them cold with single, snapping shots.

Also Boytsov's quality of opposition has been especially poor. One of them, a Brazilian with a history of being knocked out, actually lasted the distance with Boytsov.

I'm not saying Boytsov is bad. Not at all. I am saying though that it is too early to set high hopes for him. We need to see more...something serious from him first.

I see where you are coming from. This makes sense to a point.
But I tend to agree with the point that ...

I remember Boytsov's coach urging his young fighter not to knock out his opponent.I am not absolutely sure anymore whether this happened against your mentioned Braslian or not but I guess that Boytsov's coach just wants to see his boy use some of the tricks and trained punches against an harmless opponent.Nothing wrong with that IMO.At this early point of Boytsov's career he cant really fall short of expectations as he is hardly known outside the circle of us hardcore fans.He doesnt have to knock out any opponent.Actually,I would rather see him go the distance against a tough journeyman like Sedrick Fields than knocking him out in the very first round.Now is the time to learn one or two things for him.
