Pac is, despite what recent reports are saying. Arum has been quoted as saying Pac-JMM 4 would have occurred on May 5.

So why not Pac-Floyd?

And hasn't Pac fought 2 of the last 3 cinco de mayo weekends... at the MGM?
Not the same fight, and not nearly the same magnitude.

Different scenario, not to mention whatever is, or is not, up with Pacquiao's cut.

-So Mayweather is posturing but Arum is telling the truth

-I thought negotiating through the media was wrong

-Mayweather didn't claim that they were looking to book Martinez next. One of the interviewers stated that Martinez offered to come down to 150 for the fight and Mayweather said if he is willing to do that then we can fight absolutely. All he was doing we replying to someones comments about Martinez.

IMO the stadium excuse is just as Bogus as Floyds claim that he can only fight 5th May. 2 Collossal egos are colliding here and neither will give ground, which is a shame for Pac, he should ditch BOB the jew and go it alone. It's the only way this fight can get made short of Bob the jew dropping dead.

i don't know if that works that way. was the MGM grand the one putting the money for the fight and not the other way around?

and floyd and pac's fight are like a big boost to las vegas' economy that no matter when they fight, they would be open for them.

i wish its may 5th if pac's camp is ok with it. i also wish it's may 19th or 26th if floyd is ok with it. as long as they negotiate properly and both camps are ok with the date and purse.

There's no reason at all to move the May 5th date. Arum doesn't want to make this fight and he never has. We all know that now. Stop making retarded threads based on blatant lies.

Richard Wright's (Mayweather's lawyer) argument to the judge was based on Floyd having committed to a fight May 5. He stated May 5 in the courtroom. The judge made her decision based upon the arguments of the lawyers. She heard May 5, she granted the request.

In another article on the same site, it says that Team Floyd is NOT looking at Sergio for May 5, 2012. Not sure if this was another botched comment by Team Floyd (as was the Ellerbe/Floyd contradiction on fighting Sergio at a catchweight), who may have not realized Sergio is fighting Macklin on March 17, or if there were just second thoughts. Or something else.

Hopefully, with Arum clarifying matters, Team Floyd will consider moving off the May 5, 2012 date in order to make the superfight happen.

Unless, that is, they want to risk being seen as ducking Pacquiao (again?) by the public.
Did Arum ever explain how his 38,00 seat stadium is going to bring in $60M? Do you think his logic his sound when he says that if you have double the seats you bring in double the live gate figures?

Paulfv just proved why he's a retarded pactard in which he's trying his hardest to think pac isnt the one that is ducking the fight. For the past few weeks it's been proving easily that both Arum, Pacquiao dont want the fight. Before it was announce mayweather jail sentence was delay to june 1, Arum even said (read it paulfv you stupid pactard) pacquiao could possibly fight marquez for the 4th time on may 5th. But after it was announce about floyd jail sentence delay, all the sudden pac cant fight at may 5th cause what was the excuse again? The cut hasnt healed? Mgm is the small venue? The cut hasnt healed is a flat terrible excuse cause vitali eye was way worse then pacquiao but yet his next fight was over 5 month later. The small venue was a flat out another terrible excuse cause arum act like mgm grand hasnt put huge fights after huge fights. Where was trinidad vs de la hoya held? That wasnt one of the biggest fight in boxing history since leonard vs hearns 1? Tyson vs Holyfield? Lewis vs Holyfield rematch? De la hoya vs Vargas? Hopkins vs De la hoya that sold out and had a million buys? De la hoya vs Mayweather still is the highest ppv draw of all times in which that fight was where again Paulfv?<<<Tell me where were all of those fights held? And why would mayweather even lie to the judge about may 5th was booked? Are you that retarded?

Complete BS. The amount of time it takes to build a stadium depends on the amount of money you spend to build it in time.

I'm a little lost here.

Can somebody please explain to me:

1. Why the May 5th date is seemingly set in stone, and;

2. If Arum does intend to build a new stadium to increase profit why:
2.a Is it deemed as irrational
2.b Can't it be done quickly enough (I'm sure Arum has funds for that) that it would be finished before May 5 (assuming question 1 has a good reason behind it).

If there will be no rational responses that can be made, then I guess we're dealing with nothing more than drama here.

Pac and/or his team have already said that they will

drop the lawsuit
take the tests
agree to the may 5th date-

arum had since november to get the stadium started-it's his own fault.
