The press used to call him "Muhammed Aud-li" and now he will face "Ali" Adams!
The war of the words has already begun, with Adams dropping this half decent effort: "Audley is a joke. His fight with Haye was an embarrassment and he still wants to make a comeback. "I will give him such a beating that Audley will see he does not belong in a boxing ring again." |

Nothing against Adams he's only doing his job to build the fight up but any encouragement will only fuel Harrison's belief that the British public are interested in another comeback. He's made enough money off the back of Joe Public he should just disappear but his narcissistic personality won't let him!!! His next fight should be boycotted so he gets the message!!!

Haven't seen too much of Adams other than Prizefighter, but he's never been more than 6 rounds and this one is scheduled for 10 rounds.
Could stamina be a factor in this one? |

When quizzed about the reaction to his latest fight, Audley provided an enlightening quote
"First they ignore you. Then they laugh at you. Then they fight you. Then you win." ~ Mahatma Gandhi |

British boxer Audley Harrison has accomplished a lot as a heavyweight in the ring and is now looking to find success in a new venture: running a hair salon with his wife.
Last week, he and stylist Raychel Harrison opened Salon Nuuvo at the Summit at Calabasas shopping center and are offering everything from hair coloring, treatments, facials and waxing. "I'm really proud of her and I know she's going to do great," Audley said. He met his wife in 2003 in Las Vegas during a hair appointment. The London native, whose record is 27-5, won a gold medal in the superheavyweight division at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, the EBU European Heavyweight title in 2010 and was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in 2001. The 40-year-old fighter acted as his own promoter throughout his career and looks to handle the marketing and business side of Salon Nuuvo, making his wife and her talented team the main event. Raychel hired a commission-based staff of eight Vidal Sassoon-trained stylists and says she will pride her business in customer service. "Everyone works as a team and we are here for the better of the client," she said, and that includes brewing up a latte for a customer in need of a caffeine boost. Raychel said her business the only one of its kind where men can get a haircut, shampoo, a neck and shoulder rub and a hot towel. "Men get the best experience here," she said. Salon Nuuvo is also equipped with a fill station where customers can bring empty shampoo bottles and refill them for $2.50 an ounce. While Raychel is busy dealing with a new business, Audley is gearing up for his first fight since October 2010. He was a cast member in the UK version of Dancing With the Stars last year, where he caught the attention of fellow heavyweight Ali Adams. "As a result of doing that show, this guy has called me out," Audley said. On April 14, Audley is scheduled to take on Adams in Brentwood and is currently in training camp. It will be his first fight since October 2010. Audley will be training at home, which is a welcome change for Raychel, who's seen her husband go away for months at a time in preparation for a fight. She's been to nearly all of his fights, but said she's not exactly a boxing fan yet. "I'm very sensitive," she said. "When I watch boxing i'm like, 'that's somebody's son!' it's very hard for me to see it." The Harrisons moved to Westlake Village four years ago and their daughter attends White Oak Elementary School. Salon Nuuvo is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. A pricing list of various services at the salon is attached to this story. |

I hope Harrison loses a dire fight in which he throws so few punches that I lose my voice ridiculing him.
