I actually think Dimitrenko can win. He could out-box Pulev who isn't easy to hit and doesn't have much speed or power. Dimitrenko UD or maybe a cuts stoppage as Pulev was cut by one punch from Travis Walker.
And Walker is known to be a bit chinny and Pulev hit him with everything and couldn't stop him. |

I think Pulev is better all around fighter than Dimi. Pulev doesn't have great power or speed, nut he's skilled enough. Pulev wins UD about 115-113 or 116-112.

Pulev weighs 245lbs which is the lowest he's weighed in over 2 years. Makes me think Pulev is in great shape and perhaps trying to increase speed.
Dimitrenko weighs 257lbs which is the second heaviest weight of his career and 7lbs heavier than his last fight. |

Pulev is very skilled. He's big, throws accurate ( but not KO type ) of punches, and is mobile. But I get the sense he's the type of fighter who will have issues keeping a bigger / stronger man off him if the bigger, stronger man starts landing. Can Pulev adapt in a key fight? The winner here has earned a shot at either Klitschko. I favor Pulev by a small margin. |

I honestly though Dimitrenko would have been more competitive. Possibly even win.

I always liked the guy. He seemed to get softer as his career went on instead of harder, and there is no denying that. I think deep down he knew he should have struck when guys like Maskaev and Peter were champ, and that he just does not have what it takes to be competetive with a Klit. It would be a good time for him to quit, and he can walk away now with his full faculties, and be able to say that he was a step away froma title shot. Not many men can say that. |
