How many fights did you get right this year?

What ones did you get wrong both locally and overseas?

tbh, I haven't watched much boxing this year compared to the last two. My foxtel ran out in May and since then I've only really watched the big PPV's.

Anyway, the big ones I remember are.....

Mundine/Soliman.......Right. Also predicted it to end via stoppage.

Taylor/Pavlik......Wrong. I thought taylor would outbox him in an exciting cat and mouse type fight. Not sure about the rematch next year, though I'm thinking Pavlik takes it again.

Margherito/Williams.....Right. Also predicted it to go to the cards.

Calzaghe/Kessler...Wrong. Very wrong. I really thought I'd done my homework on this fight and was fairly sure that Kessler would win and win with some ease.

Green/Drews.....Wrong. It was a hard one to pick but I thought that drews would be a bit too awkward for Green.

Mayweather/Hatton...Right. I was fairly sure Floyd would be a class above and my actual prediction was floyd TKO 9. I thought it'd be a cuts type TKO though.

Cotto/Judah....Wrong. I thought Judah could pull out an upset here.











Hopefully next year I'll be able to see more local fights. I'll have to register online at that torrent site again.

How'd you guys go?

Tipped Mundine over Soliman. Think i tipped it to go the distance tho.

Tipped Pavlik to destroy Taylor by KO. Won $70 too. Had some worrying moments early on tho.

Tipped Margarito to get passed Williams, but it didnt happen. Great close matchup tho.

Tipped Kessler to win a close points win.. Calzaghe won comfortably.

Tipped Green to KO Drews. Green won on points & Drews ran scared.

Tipped Mayweather to win on wide points, but had a feeling a late stoppage win was possible. Mayweather won on stoppage.

Tipped Cotto to KO Judah & he did so looking impressive.

Got 5 out of the 7 winners right.
Only got 2 out of those 7 by the correct margin tho. Cotto's KO of Judah & Pavlik's KO of Taylor.

Margherito/Williams..... Tipped Margherito as well. Williams is definitely a force to be reckoned with

Mayweather/Hatton... Thought Mayweather would probably win, but I had a punt on Hatton as the odds were to good to pass up, as I felt he had a better chance than he was being given at the bookies.

Haye/Mormeck is another one. Went hard behind Haye and won a load of money, which I promptly lost on Fatton :(
